MrBeast’s trans-co-host is currently engulfed in a scandal
MrBeast has addressed the serious claims regarding Ava Kris Tyson’s online behaviour, revealing that he took immediate action to remove her from the company.
Tyson, 28, who gained prominence as a co-host on the highly successful MrBeast YouTube channel, deactivated her social media accounts on Tuesday and issued an apology after accusations emerged of her sending inappropriate messages to a minor. Subsequently, she faced further backlash for a series of racially insensitive posts and for using the n-word in a resurfaced livestream video.
MrBeast has spoken
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has now made his first public statement since the allegations came to light. He explained that Ava Kris was promptly removed from the show, contrary to her claim of a mutual decision.
The YouTube personality, with a net worth of $700 million, stated on X: ‘Over the last few days, I’ve become aware of the serious allegations against Ava Tyson’s behaviour online, and I am disgusted and strongly opposed to such unacceptable actions.’

‘During that time, I have been focused on hiring an independent third party to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure I have all the facts. ‘That said, I’ve seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast. I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions. ‘I will allow the independent investigators the necessary time to conduct a comprehensive investigation and will take any further actions based on their findings.’

Ava Kris Tyson’s Scandal
Tyson is alleged to have formed a relationship with an individual who was a minor and introduced to them after winning an online competition. At that time, Tyson was 20 and known to their YouTube followers as ‘Chris’ because they had not yet transitioned genders. Tyson, who has a son with their ex-wife, is reported to have spent years communicating with the fan on public online forums before meeting in person when the teenager turned 16.
The fan, now an adult, asserts they are not a victim and has defended Tyson, though they have acknowledged that some of the messages were “inappropriate” and “edgy.” Following the revelation of the relationship through a series of exposé-style videos and clips, several controversial posts by Tyson have come to light. Multiple posts depict Tyson interacting with ‘Shadman,’ an artist known for illustrating young characters in sexual poses.

It gets even worse!
In one post, Tyson requested Shadman to create an illustration of a 10-year-old anime girl. Other posts reveal Tyson making inappropriate comments towards cartoon children.
The 28-year-old, who has been a part of MrBeast’s YouTube channel since its inception in 2012, issued a statement on X on Tuesday: “I sincerely apologize for any of my past behaviour or comments that may have hurt or offended anyone. It was never my intention.”
‘Seeing recent events we’ve mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health. ‘I wanted to add, I never groomed anyone’, she exclaimed on the social media platform, noting that ‘the person that gets brought up in the accusations ‘ has vocally supported they are false’.
‘Having said that, I humbly apologize to anyone I have hurt with my unacceptable social media posts, past actions, and those who may feel betrayed by how I used to act online.’
Regarding Tyson’s racist allegations, in one post, the 28-year-old makes a comment about police brutality, and in another, the YouTuber refers to Islam as a ‘backwards religion that hates anything different.’
Critics of Tyson’s racial remarks have been vocal since at least last year, including TikTok user @ibaad.khuram0, who highlighted a series of Islamophobic tweets by Tyson from May 2017.
Reacting to the Manchester Arena terrorist bombing that month, carried out by a suicide bomber allegedly linked to ISIS and an Algerian faction of al-Qaeda, Tyson defiantly tweeted, ‘Why the f*** do we even take Islam seriously?’
‘It’s an old *** backwards religion that hates anything different and treats women like shit. Why the f*** do people still accept it,’ Tyson asked.

Numerous TikTok users responded to the post, with many demanding an apology and some commenting, ‘This incident exemplifies why having a celebrity as a role model is ill-advised.’
Earlier in 2016, during a Twitter dispute, Tyson engaged in a public argument with an African American user on the platform regarding the proper method of cooking a steak. Tyson wrote, “Consider all the African Americans who have never experienced a steak that costs more than $10.”
In another instance, the young YouTube personality shared a controversial meme from the Instagram account @defectsofcharacter, which could be construed as either a critique or an endorsement of racist police brutality against Black people. ‘When you gotta shoot hoops at 3:00 and black kids at 4:30,‘ the meme image reads and is accompanied by a white police officer holding a basketball in a basketball court.
The tweets have resurfaced alongside more explicit accusations of using a racial slur, which is clearly audible in a clip purportedly from one of MrBeast’s 10-hour livestreams. The exact date of the video remains uncertain, but it was recorded during a period when Tyson was in his 20s. Tyson can be heard using the n-word and attempting to justify the use of the racist slur by asserting, “But I’m not relevant.”
In the grainy and short video, Tyson is seen addressing MrBeast, who interacts with him remotely on camera in a light-hearted manner. ‘You do know that I’m watching this for 10 hours straight on a live stream,‘ MrBeast warns Tyson in the video clip after the racial slur is uttered.
You probably know who MrBeast is, but…
Donaldson’s channel is the most followed on YouTube, renowned for its elaborate stunts and significant philanthropic efforts.
The 26-year-old has skyrocketed to become the most followed individual on YouTube in 2022. With a jaw-dropping 240 million subscribers and counting at the start of 2024, he was hot on the heels of Indian record label and production company T-Series and has dethroned them in the fierce race for the top spot.
The star’s audacious giveaways over the years have flaunted a $2.5m private jet and a $2m private island, with millions more shamelessly splashed out in cash prizes.
Did MrBeast really know?
There are bombshell accusations swirling around MrBeast, suggesting he knew all along! How on earth could a guy, who obsesses over legal issues in almost every video, ignore such a scandal? His colossal empire, raking in millions from single videos, could be at risk! Do you honestly think he’d just sit back and watch Ava Kris Tyson jeopardize everything he’s built? Hard to believe. Personally, I want to think he’s innocent. If this blows up, the YouTube world could be turned upside down!
Imagine the carnage if YouTube lost its biggest moneymaker! A mass exodus of users would cancel their subscriptions, parents would ban their children from ever watching his videos again, and sponsors would flee in droves. His empire would crumble into ruins.

Questions linger about the true extent of MrBeast’s knowledge and involvement in the scandal.
