The Last Of Us TV Series Is Looking Good!
Unlike most people who have normal lives, I nearly exploded when I heard of the production of the game The Last of Us TV series was on the make! The cast is awesome too, with Pedro Pascal as Joel, Nick Offerman as Bill, and Bella Ramsey as Ellie just to name a few
The Last Of Us TV Series won’t just be a Boring movie to sit through, but a fregging TV series! Something we can enjoy over time just like we did while playing the game in real-time! Unless they air all the episodes all at one and you have the same problem as I do and Binge-watch the entire series in one go.
So, what’s the big fuss?
The Last of Us is an upcoming American post-apocalyptic drama television series set to air on HBO. Based on the 2013 video game of the same name developed by Naughty Dog, the series will follow Joel (Pedro Pascal), a smuggler tasked with escorting the teenage Ellie (Bella Ramsey) across the post-apocalyptic United States. It will also feature Tommy (Gabriel Luna), Joel’s younger brother and a former soldier.
The series, said to be the largest television production in Canadian history, was filmed in Calgary, Alberta, from July 2021 to June 2022. It is the first HBO series to be based on a video game and is a joint production by Sony Pictures Television, PlayStation Productions, Naughty Dog, The Mighty Mint, and Word Games. The first season will consist of ten episodes written by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann; the latter wrote and directed the game. Original game composer Gustavo Santaolalla will compose the score, and Kantemir Balagov will direct the pilot episode. The first season is expected to debut in early 2023.

I’m so excited to watch this show. I loved the game and I hope the director of the TV show nails it right. The cast is awesome the leaked videos and on-set pictures look like they are staying true to the game. Too bad that we’ll have to wait till next year (2023) to watch it though.
