Elon Musk Rebrands Twitter To ‘X’ – Will 2023 Be Its Final Demise?

Elon Musk rebrands Twitter to what??

Elon Musk Rebrands Twitter

Elon Musk’s rebranding of Twitter to ‘X’ has sparked speculation about the future of the social media platform. In this post, we’ll explore the potential implications and whether 2023 could be the year Twitter meets its demise.

Twitter X

I’ve posted about Elon Musk’s weird and crazy antics in the past and thought I’d never post about him again since he’s old news. Well, I guess he might have thought so also and went and rebranded Twitter to ‘X’. What’s his deal with the letter ‘x’ anyway?

How will this change the way you use Twitter/X? It won’t change anything for me. I still use it to link whore my posts and follow my usual Twitter users. So I’m still using it in the same way before Elon purchased it. It seems that the users that I’ve been following have also remained the same.

To me, all I see is a guy with lots of money playing with something he paid a lot of money for. I can understand how he might enjoy that because I also like tinkering with websites in the background, tweaking this and tweaking that.

Make money from your opinions!

I have noticed how the weird and unpleasant posts have gotten more popular on the platform, but there’s this ability you have on it that is called, “BLOCK USER” that comes in handy if you choose not to view that type of content. I highly recommend that as opposed to bitching and complaining about how somebody who owns the thing is making changes to it.

Will this be the demise of Twitter?

Well, technically Twitter is dead because it is now called ‘X’. But I guess the question really is, “Will ‘X’ survive now that Twitter is dead?”

I am still going to use it. There are a lot of other users still on the platform that I follow. I believe something really drastic would have to happen before we all see the error message, “404 Not Found.” The way I see it is that the only people who are upset about all of this are the ones who simply don’t like change or don’t like to see opinions other than their own.

X.COM is now redirected to Twitt… erm, ‘X’. I don’t know if I’ll get used to calling it X any time soon, to be honest. X.COM is what was used before it was rebranded to PayPal. So I guess this might be his reasoning behind rebranding Twitter. Why waste a perfectly fine domain name right?

Will one lucky user become a millionaire?

Elon Musk Rebrands Twitter

I wonder if the owner of this old Twitter handle will be shafted and have it taken away from them or will Elon Musk offer them a large sum of money making them a millionaire. At the moment, the @Twitter handle still shows on the new X platform as it’s handle still. Can’t really call yourself X while still having the old Twitter handle now can you?

Yes, I sent a request to follow this user and it is still pending. I want to see what happens so I am asking for a front-row seat to “Who Will Be The Next Millionaire.” It should be an interesting round of events. Will the user get offered an insane amount of money, or will Elon simply just take it for himself? What are your predictions?

Conclusion…

Conclusion

So, Elon Musk Rebrands Twitter. Do you care? I don’t, but it seems a lot of users do for some reason. I also have accounts on places like the new Threads, and other social media platforms like Mastodon that have been taking off since Elon purchased Twitter.

If you really can’t stand the fact that Musk controls his own social media platform, why not just get yourself your own WordPress site Hosted by a Great Hosting Provider? That way you can control all the things you want on your own platform.

Elon Musk Rebrands Twitter will be the topic of the week for a while I’m sure of it.

I recall so many people complaining when Musk took Twitter over, many of whom who deleted their Twitter accounts and said that Twitter would not last a few weeks. They were all proved wrong.

Some said that they left because they did not want to see Tweets from nasty people appear on their timeline or get any messages from these people. Why they just don’t block them and carry on using Twitter, I don’t know.

I’m staying with Twitter (or X) until it ceases to exist. It still brings my blog a lot of traffic. And given I only follow people on there who I consider ‘nice’ and who are not trolls means I do not see all this hate stuff that many said we’d see more of once Musk took over. I don’t like Musk or many of his changes, but while Twitter brings traffic to my blog, I will continue to use it and block those who spread untruths or hate. In fact, I’ve had more trolls visit me on WordPress than on Twitter, and they all get blocked too.
