Well here is Flashback Fridays Chapter 17, a weekly series of entertaining and fun flashbacks of blog posts I’ve written over the past 20 years of blogging. It’s surreal to consider that I’ve been blogging for 20 years.

Using the Wayback Machine to select a few old posts that we believe would be interesting and humorous and post them each week in this Flashback Fridays series. So, let’s take a look at what was going through my mind all those years ago.

When I was younger, I was such a nerd. Please use your discretion when reading these posts because I apparently used profanity a lot.

Let’s get to Flashback Fridays Chapter 17!

Peace and Quiet – Flashback Fridays Chapter 17

March 19th, 2005 by MacBros

I think the neighbours from hell downstairs have pulled anchor already.
It’s been peacefully quiet the past two days. No screaming, no banging, and no stench floating out in the hallways. Things are looking up! YAY!

:later:

It’s good when shitty neighbours leave earlier than they were supposed to. I think that would have been the first night that I actually had a full night’s rest without being woken up by screaming lunatics.

If only this would happen with our current neighbour from hell. But we’re not going to hold our breath, just gonna pay these bills down and make a land purchase so we never have to deal with shitty people as shitty neighbours ever again.

Peace and Quiet Pt2. – Flashback Fridays Chapter 17

March 21st, 2005 by MacBros

Wow, this is so nice. I was able to wake up to my alarm clock and not a screaming crack baby pounding on the walls. I didn’t have to listen to some burnt-out bitch screaming profanities at her kid. I could take a shower this morning without worrying about some asshole playing with the hot and cold taps, getting off on scalding people.

As I type this, there isn’t any banging or thrashing about downstairs, there’s no screaming and hollering! It’s a really pleasant morning here while I get ready for work. I’m well rested and don’t feel ill due to lack of sleep.

Well, I’m going to sit and catch up on the news and relax till my ride gets here.

Oh yes. I now remember how peaceful it was back then when these lunatics moved out. It was a nightmare living above this crackhead. When they left, the stress levels dropped significantly. Sigh, just wish the same could happen at current residence.

If you were here you’d wonder if Bubbles from the Trailer Park Boys was living next door to us.

Weather Blahs. – Flashback Fridays Chapter 17

March 22nd, 2005 by MacBros

Yesterday it was starting to look like summer was just around the corner, it was warm and the snow was almost all melted away. Woke up this morning (Phew, that’s a good thing!) and looked out the window to another blanket of snow over the lawn. It’s mild out right now, so I don’t expect it to stick around for very long, knock on wood; hopefully, the sun will poke through, finish off the stuff, and dry out the ground a bit. Keeping the hopes up, and thinking of summer arriving soon.

I’ve been feeling pretty damn good lately, now that I get a full night’s sleep and don’t have to put up with them bastards downstairs anymore. Without getting back into that topic, I’ll just say

Good Riddance!

Well, I’m going to win my shift bid for work. I’ll be working Monday and Tuesday from 10 am to 8:30 pm and then I’ll be off on Wednesday, then I’ll work Thursday and Friday 10:00 am to 8:30 pm again and I’ll be off Saturday and Sunday. I’ll still get my hours in and have a day off on Humpday giving me a break to get things done on a weekday. I think this shift will rawk, working two 10-hour shifts in a row shouldn’t be that big of a deal. I’m not saying the day will not drag on, but having to do just two in a row isn’t that bad.

I’m still waiting for my check from Google. I’m hoping to get it this week s they told me it will be in my bank account by now. With the time I missed from work, it’s imperative that I get it soon. If you’re wondering why Google is going to give me money, the fact is that I sell ad space on my site if you haven’t noticed, and every time a visitor clicks on an ad I get paid. Not much though, it took two months to get $150, but what can I say ey’? $150 just for these little ads ain’t that bad at all.

Well, I had better get ready for work.

I Owe, I Owe, It’s Off To Work I Go!

Oh. and I added another Joke on the miscellaneous page.

Snow was the last thing on my mind today. It hit 43’C today. I would have welcomed that snow today at work. The heat was brutal!

It’s obvious that I really enjoyed that those neighbours from hell moved out, LOL!

If you’re wondering what a shift bid is, its when you choose your horse for work and depending on your ranking at work the chances of getting your preferred days improves. It’s a shitty system, it basically makes you do your own scheduling and you aren’t guaranteed to get what you bid for.

I think this is when I initially started to use Google ads on my site. It helped a lot. In fact I still do it and it helps pay for hosting and keeps the moderators happy, if you arent using AdBlock that is.

Friday! Woooot! – Flashback Fridays Chapter 17

March 25th, 2005 by MacBros

Friday! Good Friday at that! And that means $25 per hour too.
Just going to add a quick post before I have to call a cab driver to work and gloat about this great money-making day.

I know the true meaning of Good Friday, don’t get me wrong, but with the current situation I’m in for finances, it’s all about the $$ today. It would have been better to have the day off, but since I’m scheduled to work I’ll be happy with $25 per hour.

I bought my Keiths for tonight yesterday because the stores are closed today and I couldn’t help myself from getting into them last night. I had three, I’m weak. I couldn’t open the fridge and just ignore them poor little babies sitting in that cold dark fridge all alone. After those three beers, I slept like a log too. Nothing was going to wake me up.

Well, I need to get ready for work, so till tonight….
L8er Gator!

Working on a holiday is always financially good. But I’d rather have the day off on holiday snow. Thankfully I’m not in the financial hole I was back then. Greatful for that.

Never blog when shitfaced. Nothing you post makes any sense.

HA! Oh, yes. Never blog while drinking, LOL! One of my friends used to tease me about posts I would make while under the influence. Posts that I ended up deleting because even I didn’t know what I was rambling on about.
