Well here is Flashback Fridays Chapter 18, a weekly series of entertaining and fun flashbacks of blog posts I’ve written over the past 20 years of blogging. It’s surreal to consider that I’ve been blogging for 20 years.

Using the Wayback Machine to select a few old posts that we believe would be interesting and humorous and post them each week in this Flashback Fridays series. So, let’s take a look at what was going through my mind all those years ago.

When I was younger, I was such a nerd. Please use your discretion when reading these posts because I apparently used profanity a lot.

Let’s get to Flashback Fridays Chapter 18!

Monday, Monday, Monday Blah’s – Flashback Fridays Chapter 18

March 28th, 2005 by MacBros

I think I may have had a delayed hangover from the weekend. This morning at work I felt like sh*t and didn’t have an ounce of energy in me at all. I just wanted to lie down and drift in and out of consciousness all day long. When I got home, I made myself a chicken dinner and lay my fat ass down on the futon and channel-surfed for a few hours.

F**ken TV is going to sh*t! There’s never anything good on anymore. I was watching the news today and they were talking about an earthquake that hit the part of the world the Tsunami hit and how they expect to have another one after an 8.2 earthquake struck again. They were going on about the destruction and then had to break into another important news report.

It ended up being a story on Michael Jackson’s trial! They think that news on Jacko’s child molestation case is more important than the destruction of a part of the world that’s been ravaged by nature’s destruction and lives lost. Are the lives of celebrities so interesting to the world that we ignore what’s actually happening around us?

I couldn’t give a rat’s ass about some rich f**c that gets all this publicity for f**cing up and finally gets his ass thrown in jail. If it was some Joe Shmo that was accused of anything at all, their ass would have been thrown in jail overnight, sentenced and put away within a few weeks. But OH, Jacko’s a celebrity, he gets special treatment. I bet if the media just left this trial alone and never went to it until the judge makes the final sentence, it would be over in less than half the time it’s taken already.

Oh but then what else would we watch on tv? Paris and Nicole? The Batchelor? or flies on sh*t? I’m starting to wonder as to why the hell I even bother to pay for cable. It’s nothing but re-runs. Don’t they ever make any sitcoms or tv series that have more than 5 episodes before they go into re-runs?

Wow! We’re getting a crap load of rain this week. The river banks are going to burst for sure! Shame that Jacko’s trial might be more important than flooding here in Oromocto. But look on the bright side, it’s warming up outside though! Just too bad I’ll be spending a fortune that I don’t have on Cab drives to and from work because it going to be raining out all week.

Well I’m going to go lay back down before it’s time to hit the hay

I still find that the media will always report on celebrities instead of actual news of the world. It seems now that all the media outlets are owned by one big corporation, and all the news stories across all of the media outlets are exactly the same.

They never report on what is most important, it’s always what the boss wants them to report on. And that is usually stories rich a**holes pay the media bosses to report on so it’s not biased at all. I rarely watch News on TV anymore, thankfully I get my news from unbiased online sources that aren’t owned by big media.

Damn, I’m Bored! – Flashback Fridays Chapter 18

March 29th, 2005 by MacBros

Holy snappin’ arse-holes Margarette! I’m bored out of me f**cen tree! There’s nothing on tv! I’ve just finished channel surfing for an hour and a half and never watch a damn thing. reaching back to change channels again

What a gruelling day at work today too. The day just dragged on and on. I hear the words,” I just got my bill and…..” so many f**cen times a day, I’m getting ready to hear somebody say, “Hi I’d like to purchase a cell phone, can you help?” I mean honestly, the company I work with has all these places on the bills that say, order your high-speed internet, or get your wireless phone now! Somebody has to see this stuff on their bill while they’re reviewing the damn thing!

I’m getting tired of hearing the petty issues that come into our center all day long. Half the time it’s over thirty cents or something. Do me a favor all you people that feel the need to call in about your phone bill. Review the thing 3-4 times before you call me, REALLY. You’ll figure it out on your own. And if your calling in over 10 f**cen cents, don’t b*tch to me about having to be on hold for 5 minutes before speaking to anybody. You’re the idiot that’s on hold for 5 minutes over 10 cents.

10 cents isn’t that big of a deal to me and I wouldn’t waste my time on it if I had the charge. And just one more thing, if you have trouble with the automated operator that’s there to help you get to the right department, hand the phone to somebody that has completed grade 6 in school, they’re more apt to LISTEN to the options instead of just bashing the first number they hear. Sheesh some people just make me sick.

I guess I’ll watch the American Idiots (AKA American Idol)
I’ll give my thought on tonight’s show l8er.

After working in customer service for a short stint, I always treat them with respect when I need to call them. People have no idea just how depressing that job is despite them sounding so happy over the phone.

People can be such petty a**holes when there’s something like a computer screen or a phone signal between them and they can’t see the other person on the other end of the call. A**holes call and berate a customer service rep over a 10-cent charge on their phone bill and when they are shown where the charge is from (usually a text message when you had to pay per text) they would just b*tch about it still blame the employee for their stupidity instead of apologizing and accepting their f**c up.

People need to chill out and stop taking their sh*t out on people trying to do their sh*tty job.

Blond Joke!? – Flashback Fridays Chapter 18

April 5th, 2005 by MacBros

51 days!!!

A bartender is sitting behind the bar on a typical day, when the door bursts open and in come four exuberant blondes. They come up to the bar, order five bottles of champagne and ten glasses, take their order over and sit down at a large table. The corks are popped, and the glasses are filled and they begin toasting and chanting, “51 days, 51 days, 51 days!”

Soon, three more blondes arrive, take up their drinks and the chanting grows. “51 days, 51 days, 51 days!” Two more blondes show up and soon their voices are joined in raising the roof. “51 days, 51 days, 51 days!”

Finally, the tenth blonde comes in with a picture under her arm. She walks over to the table, sets the picture in the middle and the table erupts.

Up jump the others, they begin dancing around the table, exchanging high-fives, all the while chanting
“51 days, 51 days, 51 days!”

The bartender can’t contain his curiosity any longer, so he walks over to the table. There in the center is a
beautifully framed child’s puzzle of the Cookie Monster.

When the frenzy dies down a little bit, the bartender asks one of the blondes, “What’s all the chanting and
celebration about?”

The blonde who brought in the picture pipes in, “Everyone thinks that blondes are dumb and they make
fun of us. So, we decided to set the record straight. Ten of us got together, bought that puzzle and put it
together. The side of the box said 2-4 years, but we put it together in 51 days!”

LOL! Who doesn’t like a good blond joke right? Yes, there are the bubble-wrapped idiots out there who are easily offended over everything, but I don’t really care about them, do you?

There were a few posts I made before this post about American Idol but I decided that I would skip over those posts. I don’t really think anyone wants to hear a rant about an old TV Episode, at least I don’t anyway. I can’t stand the show anymore and don’t want to post about it anymore.

So a joke post is what I ended on. I think it was worth it.

Summer’s in the air! – Flashback Fridays Chapter 18

April 6th, 2005 by MacBros

Wow, it was a beautiful day today! I believe it went up to 17°C and the sun was just beating down on me when I sat down outside during my breaks and lunch.

Phase 2 training is going very well! I’m learning more in just 2 days than I did when I was in phase 1 for a whole week. :???: Having fun at work too as you can tell by this picture taken by a friend’s camera phone.

*Picture unavailable, sorry*

Got to go for a bit, I’ll add comments about tonight’s American Idol looser later.

To my readers south of the equator, I know you’re probably thinking that 17°C isn’t warm at all. Well, if you live in Canada and have been dealing with -30°C weather all season, 17°C is really warm to us. Mind you, that’s only because we’ve been dealing with the cold weather and have adapted, but after a while even 17°C will eventually feel cold later on in the season as we adapt to warmer temperatures.

The picture in that post is unavailable because the Wayback Machine didn’t cache it. So it’s been lost forever.

And as I mentioned earlier, I won’t be posting American Idol posts from here on.

Too Much TV When Not At Work? – Flashback Fridays Chapter 18

April 7th, 2005 by MacBros

Today we had two guys from BLEEP pop in and show us what their service offers. Nice package my client and them offer. The features you can get with the BLEEP service are pretty kewel!

Too bad I already get pretty much everything they offer through Rogers Yahoo. But if I were in the United States I think I would purchase their service. They handed out some BLEEP Merchandise and I got a BLEEP Pen, writes nice too, and I got a BLEEP T-Shirt also. Too bad it’s just a large, 1 wash and it’s going to be a small.

But thanks anyway. I also have my name entered into a draw for an X-Box with Extra Controller and game too. It’ll be nice to win that.

They’re changing our training class times to 7:30 am to 4 pm on Monday. It’ll be nice to get out of work early and the sacrifice of getting up early will be worth it. More TV viewing time.

Thursday night television! All the shows I like are on tonight. Stargate SG-1, Survivor, and CSI are all in a row! Too much TV or what? Maybe I watch too much TV all the time? That may be true but as soon as the weather gets better I’ll be out a lot in the sun and getting fresh air. Right now it’s all soupy and there’s that fresh dog sh*t smell in the air. I don’t really think it’s time yet.

Well, I should get back to my show, so later.

Replace the word BLEEP with Quest. That was the client I worked with and at that time it felt like a good place to work until the company I worked with decided to think that scamming customers and throwing the whole customer service aspect out the window. Things went downhill with that job fast. F**k I hated that job so badly.

I didn’t win the Xbox. I’m a Sony Playstation guy anyway.

Stargate SG-1, Survivor, and CSI are all in a row! Those were the days when TV shows were good. Despite all the garbage that was always on. The era of reality TV was starting to take over the good sitcoms.
