Reddit Mods Abuse Their Power – So I Made My Own Survivor Subreddit

Sick and tired of how Reddit mods abuse their power and are just simple idiots.

Reddit Mods Abuse Their Power

So, I like to use Reddit to share my posts from here. Something that Reddit is actually for. If it wasn’t for people sharing their content then Reddit would be nothing but a dead bulletin board. Why else do they even have the ability to share a link to Reddit in the first place if Reddit mods abuse their power and delete your posts if ‘they’ don’t like them? There are too many Reddit mods that are on power trips.

This was the final straw

So last week I posted a link to one of my Survivor blog posts about the Survivor 43 episode 3 show and a mod there deleted the post because it was apparently Generic/Repetitive/Off-Topic. Yeah, a Survivor post to a Survivor subreddit was Off-Topic. *facepalm*

Not sure what they might mean by Generic, or repetitive? It’s a subreddit for discussion on the TV reality show Survivor. How can you not be repetitive when talking about a single topic that would involve people discussing the same thing about a show that pretty much does the same thing each week?

Well, I guess they didn’t like when I replied to their post-deletion message and called them out on their unreasonable reason as to why they deleted the post because they ended up Banning me from posting in the subreddit for 7 days. And in doing so, they literally confirmed that they are abusing their Moderator abilities because they were butt-hurt when I called them out.

So after proving my point, to which I replied, “You just proved my point” (with a typo) they ended up Rage-Banning me from even messaging them for a week. I actually got an image in my mind of some fat sweaty dud in a wifebeater t-shirt with spaghetti stains all over the front clicking a “Banned!” button with a mouse surrounded by food wrappers and empty Rockstar Drinks.

I took matters into my own hands.

r/SurvivorNoRules

Since you can’t reason with an idiot, I decided to create a new subreddit of my own. A new Survivor No Rules subreddit that I hope Survivor fans like myself can join and not worry about fastidious rules or have to deal with Moderators on their power trips. Although it says no rules, there is, however, just one rule and that is to not be an asshole.

There is only one moderator (myself) at the moment. Hopefully, if the subreddit grows I can ask people to apply to become a mod to help keep things in order, but also not be an asshole. I really hope people join up and make it a bigger community than the anal retentive r/Survivor community. If Reddit Mods Abuse Their Power here, they’ll be gone. Not going to let a fat head ruin it for everyone.

Good News Right?

Mac's Opinion - The place where everyone is entitled to my opinion

This is my first time creating a subreddit and any tips would be great. You can give me some pointers down below in the comments. You can join the subreddit and also not worry about dickwads deleting your content when you post Survivor-related content. It would be awesome if this ended up bigger than the other one that’s full of power-hungry asshats.

If you would like to become a moderator now even though it’s a brand new subreddit, you can ask me anytime. I suppose it would be good to tell me why you would like to be a moderator in the new Survivor subreddit. And also why do you hate it when Reddit Mods Abuse Their Power also.

Cheers and I hope to see you there!
