Mark Carney’s Plan to Silence You

Mark Carney just ripped the mask off the Liberal Party’s scheme to strangle free speech in Canada. If you’re not furious yet, you should be. The Liberals are plotting to bring back Bill C-63, the so-called Online Harms Act. Sounds harmless, right? Wrong. This is a blatant attack on your right to speak freely, and every Canadian needs to wake up before it’s too late.

The Censorship Monster: Bill C-63 Exposed

A close-up of a hand holding a magnifying glass over a document titled 'The Online Harms Act, Legislation Bill C-63', highlighting concerns about free speech and censorship.

Let’s cut through the fluff. Bill C-63 isn’t about protecting kids—it’s a power grab dressed up as compassion. This bill is the most dangerous attack on free speech in Canada’s modern history. It lets a Liberal-appointed tribunal at the Canadian Human Rights Commission fine you up to $50,000 for “hate speech.” No jury, no appeal—just a bunch of political hacks deciding what you’re allowed to say. They’re even bringing back Section 13, a creepy rule ditched in 2013 because it was straight-up censorship. It punished people not for what they did, but for what they might say that could offend someone. Not proven, just “likely.” That’s right—they’ll silence you before you even open your mouth.

Big Brother’s New Toy: The Digital Safety Commission

Here’s where it gets wild. Bill C-63 creates a Digital Safety Commission, a government squad with the power to snoop on your posts, control platforms, and order takedowns whenever they feel like it. Think China’s internet police, but in Canada. They can even throw you in jail for life for something they call “Offence Motivated by Hatred.” A life sentence for a tweet they don’t like? That’s not safety—that’s tyranny. Oh, and they can go after you for old posts, too. Better start scrubbing your Twitter history now.

Snitches Get Paid, You Get Screwed

It gets worse. The Liberals want to pay people to snitch on you. If someone claims your words “harmed” them, they can pocket up to $25,000 just for whining. Meanwhile, you’re bankrupted or locked up for sharing an opinion. Imagine woke activists making a living off being offended while you’re punished for thinking differently. This is the future the Liberals want—a Canada where you’re afraid to speak because anyone can turn your words into a paycheck.

The UK’s Nightmare: Canada’s Future?

Man arrested for Facebook post

Don’t believe this could happen? Look at the UK. They’re already living this dystopian nightmare. In 2023, over 12,000 people were arrested for social media posts—30 arrests a day for tweets, Facebook rants, or even private messages someone found offensive. People have been fined, jailed, or fired for jokes or political opinions. They’ve even got “non-crime hate incidents” on permanent records—over 250,000 in the last decade, including against kids as young as nine. Police spend 60,000 hours a year patrolling your memes instead of catching real criminals. This is what happens when the government decides what “hate” means. It creeps into your religion, your politics, your comedy, your private chats. Nothing is safe.

Why This Matters to You

Mark Carney’s words aren’t just talk—they’re a warning. The Liberals want to control what you say online, silence anyone who disagrees, and punish you for daring to think for yourself. Free speech isn’t some fancy idea—it’s the root of every freedom we’ve got. If you can’t speak out, question the government, or call out nonsense, how do we fix anything? When the government starts slapping $50,000 fines or life sentences on opinions it doesn’t like, that’s not democracy—it’s a dictatorship in disguise.

Time to Fight Back

A Mongolian politician once said, “Once people sense their own power, no authoritarian government can stand against the people who are determined to be free.” That’s you, Canada. It’s time to get loud, get angry, and fight for your voice. If the Liberals and Mark Carney get their way, Canada will become a place where you’re afraid to speak, post, or even think. Don’t let them win. Be determined to be free.

Stand Up for Your Rights!

A large crowd of people passionately protesting, holding signs that read 'NO' and displaying Canadian flags.

The stakes have never been higher. If Bill C-63 passes, we risk plunging into an age where your voice can be silenced at a moment’s notice, and self-censorship becomes the norm. This isn’t just about one bill—it’s about the future of free expression in Canada. It’s time to take a stand and defend the very principles that our democracy is built upon. We must not allow fear to dictate our words or thoughts.
