November 11, 2022 – Remembrance Day
Remembrance Day is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth member states since the end of the First World War to honor armed forces members who have died in the line of duty.
I always wait till after this memorial day to put up Christmas decorations as I think everyone should do, even the shopping malls to be honest. It’s just a way to be respectful in my opinion.
Today we honour those who gave their lives to serve our country.
One response to “Lest We Forget – Remembrance Day – Honouring Those Who Served And Their Unforgettable Sacrifices”
Remembrance Day 2024 – The poem “In Flanders Fields” honors fallen soldiers, juxtaposing the beauty of nature with the horrors of war. It calls upon the living to continue the struggle for freedom, emphasizing a solemn duty to remember the sacrifice of the dead. The imagery of poppies serves as a powerful symbol of remembrance.
