Liberal Government Spending Hasn’t Changed

In an unprecedented move that raises serious questions about the integrity of democratic governance, Canada finds itself at a pivotal crossroads. As citizens remain largely unaware, a staggering $40 billion in taxpayer money has been green-lighted without any meaningful debate or oversight. With Parliament shuttered and scandals brewing, the fate of democracy hangs in the balance as the government, seemingly unaccountable, continues to operate in the shadows. How did we arrive at this point, and what does it mean for the future of our nation?

The $40+ Billion Decision

No votes, no discussions, and no detailed plan on where this huge pile of cash is headed—just a fuzzy list of departments and totals. Regular Canadians were left out, and Parliament had no say at all. This money just disappeared from the Consolidated Revenue Fund, all approved by an unelected Governor-General, because a Liberal government has been avoiding responsibility for too long.

Canada has just gone way too far in a way that no democratic country should even think about, and hardly anyone is paying attention. On April 1st, 2025, the Governor General of Canada made a shocking decision to green-light a jaw-dropping $40,343,209,650 in government spending without asking anyone’s opinion. Why? They said it was needed for the public good.

The Green Slush Fund Scandal

Let’s take a moment to revisit some key points. Parliament has been dark since October. Why? Because Justin Trudeau is caught up in a huge scandal over the so-called Green Slush Fund. A staggering chunk of over $300 million in taxpayer dollars was stolen by Liberal insiders. When the heat started rising, Trudeau shut down Parliament to dodge any investigation. Then, just in time, they took a holiday break for Christmas, giving themselves another month to escape the fallout from their shady actions.

Leadership Change

When Parliament was finally ready to gather again, Trudeau pulled a fast one and shut it down, all to avoid a confidence vote that would have kicked his government out because of scandals. He said it was for a leadership change, but the truth is the Liberals were a mess and wanted to sneak Mark Carney into the Prime Minister’s seat without dealing with the backlash from the people.

The Rigged Election

Carney wasn’t truly elected by the people; he got into power through a rigged party leadership race that only included 150,000 Liberal members, which is a tiny 0.4% of Canadians. Independent candidates like Ruby Dalla weren’t even allowed to join the fight. This whole race was a joke meant to keep the same people in control, not to actually help regular Canadians.

Same Old Cabinet

Now, with Carney at the helm, we’ve got the same old cabinet, the same shady deals, and the same cluelessness. Marco Mendicino, the guy who messed up the Bernardo prison mess and even let the Chinese Communist Party mess with our elections without lifting a finger, is now calling the shots as Carney’s chief of staff.

Secret Spending

Look at what the CBC is getting: $178,154,676 in addition to their almost $2 billion!!!!

Meanwhile, this totally crooked government just awarded itself a whopping $40 billion in secret spending. With Parliament still shut down, there’s no real democracy going on—just a signature from an unelected liberal governor general, who’s going along with a government that’s been calling the shots without anyone watching for six months.

Call to Action

As we stand at this critical juncture, the actions of the Liberal government raise grave concerns about the very fabric of our democracy. The alarming decision to approve billions in spending without the voices of Canadians echoing in the halls of power poses an existential threat to our core values. If we allow this blatant disregard for accountability and transparency to continue, what future awaits us? It’s time for citizens to demand answers, raise their voices, and reclaim democracy from those who act in the shadows.
